Performing Thousand Cuts
Thousand Cuts is one of the basic martial styles available at the beginning of the game. It is the fastest martial style, but deals the lowest damage per hit and has the shortest reach. Users of this style focus exclusively on overwhelming their opponents with a lightning-fast barrage of punches. Using it's speed, you can intercept after the enemy has initiated their attacks but doing so comes at a risk and requires precise timing. Is best used in combination with other styles as you may strike before the opponents recover. (A example would be to strike with Fortunes Favorite then as the final sword strike resolves switch your stance to Thousand Cuts and immediately strike to continue your combo.)
Statistics[]
Attack power: 1/5 (very low, power attacks deal strong damage but can be very difficult to land due to range)
Attack speed: 5/5 (very high, giving the ability to interrupt most attacks)
Reach: 2/5 (short, but due to the very high attack speed you can utilize "Dodge" to roll in staggering opponents helping to alleviate this issue)
Accessibility: 5/5 (available as a starting style)
Overall rating: 3.5/5 (reasonable damage output but it is arguably the least practical martial style, due to very short reach it can be difficult to master but with a skilled user it is a useful tool to continue combos and maintain a Stunlock)
How to obtain[]
Available as a starting style
Purchasable from Sweet Poison Lyn in the Imperial Arena in Chapter 3
In-Game Description[]
Thousand Cuts is aptly named, though the style does not involve blades. A master of this style relies on numerous light strikes in quick succession instead of singular punishing blows or thunderous kicks. Most opponents reel under such a relentless assault, unable to counter fast enough to find an opening for their own attacks.
