Tang's Vengeance

Tang's Vengeance is a weapon style obtained by defeating the Ravager in the Imperial Arena. While a bit on the slow side, these deadly axes deal massive damage and are very effective against multiple enemies. One noticeable drawback is that the slow, wide swings often leave the user open to counterattacks. With that in mind, it is arguably the second best weapon style in the game after the longsword. It is also the most brutal style by far, occasionally decapitating defeated enemies and spilling a fountain of blood.

Statistics[]

Attack power: 5/5 (very high)

Area of effect: 5/5 (wide, circular swings)

Attack speed: 2/5 (low)

Reach: 4/5 (long overall, the power attack has average range, but with each basic attack the character moves forward, dealing damage to surrounding enemies)

Accessibility: 3/5 (available mid-game regardless of alignment)

Overall rating: 4/5 (strong in any situation, be it single- or multi-target, the only weapon style aside from the basic staff or longsword that can have its Focus cost reduced to zero)

In-Game Description[]

When Emperor Fong died without an heir, the Empire became fractured and divided. After years of war, Tang the Merciless rose to be the forerunner in the battle for the contested throne of the Jade Empire. Tang's own father betrayed him into the hands of his enemies, fearing that his son's violent ways would ruin the Empire. Rumor has it that before he fled into exile, Tang the Merciless used these very axes to cut off his father's head. These devastating axes remain extremely sharp, even after hundreds of years of use.
