Personal History[]
Nothing is known of Shin's early life. It is known that he arrived at the Lotus Assassin Fortress beneath the Imperial City's Necropolis at the same time as Master Gang. Shin quickly proved himself and was catapulted through the ranks, while Gang was relegated to overseeing the training of new recruits. Coincidentally, Shin was there to document many of Gang's failures.
Gang's Ambition[]
Resentful and annoyed at Shin's ruthless political scheming, Master Gang spared the newly-recruited Acolyte (unbeknownst to him the last Spirit Monk) the typical weeks of complete indoctrination. Recognizing his latest Acolyte's rare talent, Gang set the Spirit Monk to move about the Fortress with great freedom as they carried out his tasks. Set on engineering his hated superior and rival's demise, Gang arranged for the Spirit Monk to clear the Golem Press room and lure Shin there.
A Master's Fall[]
Brought to the Golem Press room, Master Shin quickly realized something unusual was going on. He attempted to kill the Spirit Monk, annoyed with the behavior of this "Acolyte", but died in the fight that followed instead. Following Master Gang's orders, the Spirit Monk placed Master Shin's body inside the Golem Press and closed it, crushing the remains. The bloody mess that was left was soon viewed by a smug Master Gang, who came to investigate the "accident". After ordering the Golem Press opened, Gang remarked, "Yes, he is quite dead". Master Gang moved quickly to assume Shin's place, but he did not live to hold his new station for long.
Shin's remains, whatever was done with them after they were "found" in the Golem Press, were entombed forever beneath hundreds of tons of earth and stone as the Lotus Assassin Fortress collapsed due to sabotage from within.
