Master Gang would like to have Master Shin killed off because the latter has been nothing but a thorn in the side of the former. However, murdering other members of the Lotus Assassins is discouraged, so you must engineer a situation such that Master Shin's death looks like an accident. Luckily, for you, the golem press is nearby. Someone has already died from such an accident, so it's not a huge stretch that the same would happen to Master Shin. It also has the added bonus of making him look like an idiot.
First, you must convince your fellow acolyte and golem press operator to leave the area. He's more than happy to oblige, if it means he might benefit from it politically.
You then have to clear the main hall, because dragging a corpse around may possibly implicate you. There are three groups that you have to speak to.
- The Mold Masters will not listen to your request to leave the area, even if you ask nicely. If the machinery were to break, however, they will immediately leave to investigate. You can accomplish this by filling the machine with Phoenix Oil, which you can get from Kia Jong the merchant.
- Kia Jong is also located in the main hall. You can convince him to leave with your speech options, or pay him outright and he'll relocate to the central chambers.,
- A Lotus Sorcerer wants to show you his cool tricks by accidentally turning his acolytes into flaming mad men. After you defeat them, he runs away.
You must then leave the fortress and enter a shortways into the Necropolis, where you'll meet Lotus Assassin slavers and their hostages. Deal with them however you like, either by freeing them or killing them all, and make your way back to the fortress.
Master Shin will be furious and he'll fight you, alongside his attendants. If you manage to kill the four of them, the two golems that were near the Spirit Font will wake up and fight you. The quest is effectively over once you've defeated them, as you'll be transported to a cutscene of you desecrating Shin's corpse.
